Parliament repeals Royal Decree-Law 9/2024 of 23 December
On 22 January, the Congress of Deputies agreed to repeal Royal Decree-Law 9/2024 of 23 December, adopting urgent measures in the areas of the economy, taxation, transport and social security, and extending certain measures to address situations of social vulnerability.
This legislation contained various new provisions in the areas of taxation, labour and social security, commercial law, civil law and digital law, which we analysed in a document sent out in early January; we have included the link to that document again to help identify the measures that have now been repealed.
The failure to ratify the Royal Decree-Law means that these measures are no longer in force, having been in effect only from 25 December to 22 January, although some of them may be reintroduced if the necessary parliamentary majority is achieved.
