PROGRAMME
Our commitment to society, to its educational system and to the legal community in general requires us to incorporate undergraduate/postgraduate students and/or graduates and postgraduates every year who wish to apply the knowledge acquired throughout their academic training in real situations, developing practical skills essential to exercise their future professional career.
But as a Firm we are also deeply committed to ethics and professional excellence, and to this end we have designed an “internship program” with which we intend to contribute to the personal and professional growth of future lawyers, offering them a training itinerary, eminently practical, that contributes to the development of better prepared and competent professionals.
Academic or curricular
internships
We offer students in the final years of their degree in Law, double degrees and/or master’s degree in access to the legal profession the possibility of doing the compulsory curricular internships in any of the areas and offices of the firm.
Our aim is to complement their academic itinerary with the acquisition, understanding and development of skills and competencies that will enable them to apply the academic knowledge acquired to the changing reality that lawyers face in their daily professional work.
Requirements for students in the final years of a law degree or double degrees:
To take part in our selection process, you must meet the requirements listed below and send us your application to the e-mail address practicas.grado@monteroaramburugva.com, attaching your CV, academic record and documentary proof of your level of English.
- Curricular internship modality (applications for extracurricular internships are not accepted).
- An average mark of 7.5 is required.
- You must have a B2 level in English.
Requirements for students of the Master’s Degree of Access to the Legal Profession:
Under the guidance of a tutor who will guide you throughout the internship period, and a work team in which you will be a member from day one, you will have access to a variety of professional experiences that will enrich your training and knowledge in legal and instrumental matters necessary for the practice of the profession.

- Compulsory curricular internship (applications for extracurricular internships are not accepted).

Professional internships
Once the academic phase has been passed, former candidates, lawyers with a Double Master’s Degree of Access to the Legal Profession or with a specialisation Master’s Degree may apply for ‘professional internships’ with us, which will last no longer than 1 year.
From the first day you will have the possibility of acquiring comprehensive training through access to a variety of experiences that will enrich your professional career, enabling you to develop your skills to the maximum in an exceptional working environment.
THIS TYPE OF INTERNSHIP IS AIMED AT
This type of internship is aimed at:
- Former candidates who can accredit more than 3 to 5 years of preparation in a state or regional competitive examination.
- Graduates in Law and/or economics who hold a postgraduate degree in legal specialisation combined or not with the Master’s Degree of Access to the Legal Profession (double master’s degree).
REQUIREMENTS
- To be registered with a Bar Association for applicants coming from the preparation of competitive examinations.
- Average grade on the academic record: 7.
- B2 in English; C1 for the commercial law area.
- In the case of having prepared for competitive examinations, having passed the first test on at least one occasion.
