PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Specialist in tax planning for large estates and family businesses, tax and contentious-tax proceedings, and the Economic and Fiscal Regime of the Canary Islands; mediator in the resolution of corporate conflicts in family businesses; non-executive secretary of companies in the hotel and hospitality sector; experience in tax consultancy for companies in the hotel and hospitality, automotive and food industry sectors.

He has advised on numerous corporate restructuring transactions involving high net worth companies and industrial and service companies. He has extensive experience in company purchase and sale transactions, management and performance of due diligence processes, negotiation and drafting of shareholders’ agreements (qualified majorities, dragging and accompanying rights, establishment of conditions for partner dissociation transactions, etc.), structuring of financing transactions for the acquisition of assets, development of financial investment structures and advice on tourism investment transactions both in Spain and in Central America.

He is also a lawyer specialising in tax and contentious-tax proceedings, and has advised in a multitude of tax inspection procedures, in the corresponding appeals in administrative proceedings against the settlements derived from such procedures, and has acted as legal representative in all types of judicial proceedings of a tax nature, before different High Courts of Justice, the National High Court, the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Regular lecturer on the Economic and Fiscal Regime of the Canary Islands, Corporate Tax, asset restructuring and family businesses at Fundación Fyde Cajacanarias.
