Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia appoints two new partners

Seville, July 15, 2025.- Montero Aramburu & Gómez-Villares Atencia announces the appointment of Agustín León and José Minero as new partners in the Public and Commercial areas, respectively.

Both appointments were approved at the last general partners’ meeting and are part of the firm’s national growth strategy.

Agustín León joined the Public Law department in Seville in 2002. He is recognized for his expertise in urban planning, water law, aid and subsidies, as well as litigation in public procurement matters. He holds a law degree from the University of Seville and a master’s degree in Territorial and Urban Policy from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

José Minero joined the Tenerife office in 2012 to develop the litigation and commercial department on the island. As of 2020, he is responsible for developing the commercial practice at the Las Palmas office. He holds a law degree from the University of Huelva and a Master’s degree in Business Legal Advice from the Instituto de Estudios Cajasol and an Executive Master’s degree in Business Law from the Centro de Estudios Garrigues in collaboration with Harvard Law School.

Leonardo Neri and Javier Valdecantos, managing partners of the firm, highlight the extensive experience and long-term vision of the new partners, whose appointments “reflect the recognition of their excellent personal track records and their firm commitment to promoting colleagues who have developed their professional careers at our firm.”
